Blue Scholars are one of the Northwest Underground scenes strongest artists with many albums under their belts and a lot of recognition among hip-hop heads in the Northwest, Blue Scholars will most definitely be counted as one of the Northwests most prominant groups of all time.
From SXSW: “I got my first copy of the Blue Scholars album “Bayani” when one of the groups I was working with back in 2007 brought it home with them from a tour stop in Seattle. That record has consistently for 3+ years found its way onto my iPod, or into my car stereo at least once a month. These guys are the epitome of what I love about hip hop. Part poetry, part political, part party – and beats that make me want to move my ass.”
