The Home Grown Tour featuring Okwerdz and Grayspace popped off last night in Oregon City, OR. It was a dope show with more than a few surprises. First and foremost was the unexpected appearance of battle rap super star Illmaculate. He jumped up on stage for a large part of Okwerdz set and did some dope freestyles over the live band performance of Greyspace. We’ll cover that more later but first, the second big surprise.
T-Webb and Winkz
T-Webb and Winkz are two young up and coming Hip-Hop/R&B artists straight outta Estacada, OR. T-Webb and Winkz had a dope performance and brought out a huge crowd. I would have liked to see more of their fans sticking around and filling up the dance floor, but it is what it is. Props to T-Webb and Winkz, look to see them smashing it on a lot more shows in the future.

Greyspace
What is better than a dope live band with an ill emcee and a phenomenal guitar player who happens to also be a doctor? Not a whole lot in this cruel world, but Greyspace has that and more. Their performance was awesome, switching up their style on more than a few tracks to accommodate every musical preference in the building. Their Myspace categorization of Hip-Hop/Funk/Indie is a good indicator of their style and sound. Mad props to Greyspace, they killed it last night.
Okwerdz and Illmaculate
Okwerdz opened up his set with a song featuring Greyspace and then did a couple tracks with DJ Cuttah as accompaniment. All of those early tracks were sick but couldn’t really compare to what came next. Unannounced to anyone, Illmaculate was set to perform with Okwerdz. So Ok called him up mid set and spit some verses with Ill. They got the Greyspace band behind them and busted some sick 4 bar freestyles. It was a stellar performance. Props to Okwerdz for coming out and killing it less than 24 hours after doing a show in Reno, Nevada. Good luck to the rest of the Home Grown Tour, keep it crackin’. Big ups to Portland rap battle legend Illmaculate for coming out and showing the real heads some love.

More Shout Outs
Props to ourselves for killing it. Dru, Flawless, Damian Grey and DJ Cuttah (Bad Habitat) rocked the show with one of the dopest performances of the night. Props to Sawb 1 for collaborating with us on the planning and coordinating of the event. Big ups to all the fans and real hip hop heads that came out to Oregon City on a Saturday Night.
