Def Jam Rapstar Review

Def Jam Release Date October 5, 2010

Def Jam Rapstar is a game much like most games you might recognize from a genre called Rhythm Games. Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Scratch: The Ultimate DJ are all in the video game subcategory of Rhythm Games. This is the first of its kind to only require vocal input. The game is poised to be one of the sickest hip hop video games of all time. Def Jam has a history of releasing some pretty tight games. Check out some of the reviews below, the track list and the You Don’t Know Rap mini game. There are for sure gonna be a ton of Def Jam Rapstar DLC releases coming up soon after the game drops. DLC will be available on PlayStation Network.

Here’s What The Nerds Are Saying

IGN Review:

Def Jam Rapstar is a music game based hip-hop music and culture. The game provides the ultimate emcee video game experience, and captures the essence of what Hip-Hop is all about: the Music, the Flow, the Battles, and of course … the Swagger. With a host of the greatest Hip Hop songs available at release, the game allows you to be the star: by rhyming, using your console camera, and uploading your video to the fully integrated Def Jam Rapstar community at www.defjamrapstar.com. Def Jam Rapstar also offers you the ability to freestyle over tracks by some of the hottest Hip Hop producers and upload your freestyle performances for the world to decide how good you really are.
